December 16, 2019 - Gwynn Creek Loop Trail

Today Robyn, Bob, and a new friend Ken, all met at Keady. Ken came all the way from Florence to join us. We decided on hiking the Gwynn Creek Loop Trail which Ken hadn't been on before. We drove down to Neptune North and hiked in from there. It was a beautiful day for a hike, just the right temperature and a gorgeous, sunny winter day.

We stopped in at the Cape Perpetua Visitor Center on the way by towards the end of the hike, and we discovered that the trail had a gain of 1050 feet, which certainly gave us all a good workout for the day.  Then we continued on taking the Oregon Coast Trail back to the parking lot at Neptune.  All in all it was about 6.3 miles if you believe the signs. :)  It's a beautiful hike to take and Bob and Robyn were both glad to have Ken join in today.
